🤣 Two Lads, 60km, and One Heroic Pint 🤣
While normal humans were in bed on Friday night, Dermot Shiels and Ross Griffin decided that sleep is for the weak and signed up for the 60km Art O’Neill Challenge — starting at 11pm, because apparently suffering is better in the dark.
Things were going grand until about 10km from the finish, when Dermot decided to test the durability of the Irish mountains with his face. Spoiler: the mountain won.
But Ross, being the loyal mule he is, hauled Dermot up, dragged him along, and basically carried him through the wilderness like a discount Sherpa. Together they stumbled, limped, cursed, and questioned all their life choices until they finally crossed the finish line.
And how did they celebrate surviving this heroic nonsense?
With a pint of Guinness, obviously — the only known cure for stupidity, pain, and friendship.
Fair play to the lads. Absolute legends… or absolute eejits. Possibly both. 🍻
